![]() There are stories about how using "lower grade" butane can gum up your lighter and cause it to stop working, though I've never experienced this personally. ![]() For a torch lighter, these are things to be aware of and possibly concerned about because the butane outlet nozzle on those is really tiny and the science behind how those works requires a certain ratio of oxygen and the flammable gas. From what I know, the main difference in fuels have to do with purity (that is, how much of it is butane vs other gases like propane) or the ratio of aerosol (and what kind of aerosol) vs butane gas. I wouldn't worry much about butane brand, especially for soft flame lighters like these.
